Quick Start
Create a workspace context and plan your first service deployment.
1. Select a context#
The CLI keeps the target workspace, project, and environment in a named context. Use a separate context for each environment and check it before applying changes.
du context create sandbox --workspace orbit-labs --project catalog --environment development
du context use sandbox
du context show2. Describe a service#
Save the following as universe.yaml. This example exposes a small catalog application through the workspace gateway.
apiVersion: universe/v1
kind: Service
metadata:
name: catalog
spec:
image: registry.universe.example/catalog:1.2.0
replicas: 2
port: 8080
healthCheck:
path: /health
intervalSeconds: 153. Review, then apply#
du validate -f universe.yaml
du plan -f universe.yaml
du apply -f universe.yaml --wait
du services describe catalogA successful deployment reports two ready replicas and a passing health check. If readiness does not converge, the previous healthy revision continues receiving traffic.
